Hello Everyone

 Back from another lockdown, lets hope everyone stays safe and this is the last lockdown of the year for the Latrobe Valley. Meanwhile Arc Yinnar is open again to the public  for exhibitions and for workshops- so this weekend there will be a hub of activities all within Covid safe guidelines at Arc.

 There is still a place available in the Blacksmithing workshop, so if you know of anyone interested please pass on the information previously forwarded by Sharon Anderson, (details in events).

 We are open from Thursday until Sunday from noon until 4 pm.

The gallery shop is well stocked at present and we have new displays in the vitrines with work by Linda Ellery and Mandy Thompson. Please encourage those you know to shop and buy local- it is so important in these difficult times.  Use your social media and word of mouth to spread the word far and wide. By supporting local artists and makers you are supporting community because they in turn spend their hard earned dollars in the community.

Gallery News:

Christine Bourchier’s Emerging Artists Award exhibition continues until the 17th of October. There will be a Finnisage on 16 October from 2pm. If you have not yet visited Christine’s exhibition please come and do so.

 Vitality – The Womens Exhibition runs from  23 October ( Opening event will be 23 October from 2 pm) until 21 November. All work is welcome including jewellery, ceramics,  made things, textiles, paintings, prints, photographs, artists books , anything that embraces the vitality of women’s work!.  The entry deadline is 19/20 October 2021. 

 Dijanne Cevaal will  have some of her work on display in the SParc gallery from this Saturday the 12th until the end of October.

Arc has several members and past members and artists who have had a strong connection with arc in the current Latrobe Regional Gallery 50x50 Exhibition. An exhibition to celebrate 50 years of the Latrobe Regional Gallery with 50 artists, Rodney Scherer, Irene Probesteing, Jenny Peterson, Kate Zizys, Pezaloom and Anthea Williams are all represented with work. The exhibition continues until until Dec 12, well worth a visit. Why not make a day or weekend of it, visit arc and visit Latrobe Regional Gallery.
