The Metal Shop has facilities for blacksmithing and welding and workbenches and floor space for heavy and light metal working. There are regular monthly Blacksmithing workshops. The Metal Shop is also available for hire and technical support is available.

Paddy McKenzie who delivers arcs Blacksmith workshops has a vast experience in Blacksmithing and various light and heavy metal work skills. Paddy runs his own Blacksmith business in Morwell and brings this expertise to the workshops and classes he instructs at arc.
Toolmaking and Decorative Flourishes
Toolmaking has long been the traditional application of Blacksmithing and all the workshops and courses at arc involve the introduction to these techniques, as well as the safe firing of a forge. Workshops also provide opportunities to develop these skills further into items and projects that involve more complex design and decorative flourishes.
Work bench and floor space
There are shared workspaces and benches available to support both heavy and light metal work. Pulleys and Roller door access for the movement in, out and around of larger projects and sculptural works.
