‘Beneath the Surface’ with Janine Good

This is also a great opportunity to learn with Janine Good who is a 2022 winner of the

John Dudley Portrait Prize.

“In this workshop we will explore pain2ng faces as a means of reaching beneath the surface of a portrayal.

We will explore u2lising colour and brushwork to create emo2on.

The workshop will include techniques in Acrylic paint and Ink.

In Acrylics we will explore some colour theory exercises and layering techniques.

We will also work with drawing Ink and explore tonal values, brush technique and salt effects. Drawing Ink will be provided but please bring your own acrylic paints in a basic range of colours and various brushes. A small watercolour pad and Acrylic sketch pad would be useful.”
