In 2023 I had a visceral reaction to the removal of a dead redgum on public land near my home. The strength of my reaction to the loss of this tree and its towering silvery ghostlike presence, heightened my awareness of the remaining dead trees and initiated the photographs, charcoal rubbings and 3D works in this exhibition
