Artist Statement:
I use abstraction to communicate emotion, giving life to feelings that may not easily be expressed.
I explore my memories through the use of found materials and paint for expression. My process is one of construction and deconstruction. The action of the mark is an anchor point; it is the juncture which happens within space.
The line and choice of marks are both metaphors and a bridge to the sub-conscious. They are the meeting place and boundary such that every emotion has an experience attached to it.
